ROLE of the POSITION This position works closely with the College Dean to direct and support administrative initiatives of the dean; coordinates policies, procedures and training related to classified staff and select administrative personnel in the college; works with vice and associate deans to provide management support developing new projects and programs within their respective areas to reach top tier goals. This position is also responsible for all budget and fiscal matters relating to the college and its' programs and self-supporting activities, including internal review of self-supporting accounts managed by others in the college; provides support, guidance, and direction relating to proper business practices; maintains the integrity of gift accounts and use of funds with the goal of maximizing availability of funds for priorities established by the College and meeting reporting and financial information requirements of the University. The incumbent is responsible for human resource matters, including classified annual evaluation, employee contracts, employee offer letters, leave keeping, on- boarding and exit process, etc. This position serves on the Dean's Management Team (with Dean, Vice Dean, and Associate Deans) and the Hospitality College Executive Cabinet; works directly with the Dean and Vice Dean on Strategic planning and implementation, building and renovation projects; and information requests and dissemination of information to others in the college. QUALIFICATIONS Requires Bachelors degree in business, accounting, management, finance or other related field; and 5 years related professional experience and 2 years related managerial experience Prefer Masters degree in business, accounting, management, finance or other related field. Prefer experience in business management, human resources training and Workday Requires analytical and decision making skills; use of independent and discretionary judgement; problem solving skills; excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; familiarity with fund accounting and restrictions on accounts; experience in strategic and financial planning; experience supervising implementation of business policies, practices, and procedures; knowledge of best practices for internal controls and business management; and ability to use Microsoft Office and other university software and programs. SALARY RANGE Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions.
