Position Overview: 13;
The primary responsibility of the Manager : Financial Planning and Analysis is to work directly with the departmental director in the analysis and reporting of operational and financial data across all areas of the property and assist in the supervision of the daily operations of the department. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian The Palazzo Casino Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 13;
:Oversee multiple, simultaneous and advanced analytical projects which provide concise, accurate, actionable and strategic recommendations to VCR senior management for both gaming and non:gaming areas.
:Query, report, and analyze data from all aspects of the business, developing and communicating key conclusions on operational and financial results, especially in regards to performance and profitability.
:Oversee and automate key analytical reports for the property operating departments.
:Perform multiple audits including sales commissions and casino host bonuses.
:Conduct ad:hoc analyses including, but not exclusive to, gaming performance reviews, special event analyses, hotel operational analyses, financial modeling and statistical analyses.
:Act as a key member of the annual budgets and forecasting process.
:Provide timely, analytical support for requests at the direction of department heads and senior management.
:Convert key financial and operating data into strategic and value:added recommendations.
:Focus on supporting an individual operating area while providing cross:functional support as needed.
:Assist Corporate Finance with monthly and ad:hoc requests.
:Effectively manage projects with multiple internal and external groups.
:Execute reports and query data from various systems as requested for the department.
:Research and evaluate tools and resources to identify possible opportunities for process improvement.
:Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Qualifications: 13;
:21 years of age.
:Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
:Bachelors degree from an accredited four:year institution or equivalent professional experience, preferably within the fields of finance, hospitality, accounting, mathematics or economics. MBA or masters degree preferred.
:Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
:5+ years of work experience in financial analysis, information technology, project accounting, or a related field at positions with increasing levels of responsibility required.
:Strong mathematical acumen and analytical background with a solid understanding of financial and accounting principles as well as hotel, resort, and casino operating practices.
:Proficiency in MS Office products; SQL or equivalent databasing language; VBA or equivalent programming language; and SAS or equivalent statistical software.
:Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives.
:Must possess the ability to maintain quality, accurate work with a passion for details during very busy
