The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of Administrative Assistant 3, College of Education Dean's Office. [R0107539] ROLE of the POSITION Administrative assistance to the Dean's Office within the College of Education. Coordinates a variety of office functions including providing information to guests (via phone, email, and in person), coordination of Dean's schedule (meetings and travel), and assists in compiling meeting minutes, developing reports, and processing of paperwork. Directly reporting to the Special Assistant to the Dean and Director of Strategic Engagement, provides assistance in planning and implementation of all college-level events. In consultation with the College Business Manager, serves as Budget Coordinator, including processing of budget forms, paperwork, and contracts as well as assists with varied levels of faculty on-boarding. This individual performs a wide variety of tasks and must have the ability to handle multiple projects at a time and exercise good judgment. Primary hours are 8am -5pm, some night and weekend hours are required. QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 2 in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. SALARY Grade 27 Step 01, salary $34,681.68 . "Step" means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
