ROLE of the POSITION The Couple and Family Therapy Program is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant 3. The main purpose of this job is to assist the program director with running both the graduate and undergraduate programs. As an administrative assistant you will be required to assist with any special projects as assigned by the chair. Incumbent is responsible for all employment documents in the Human Resources database, meeting HR and Payroll deadlines for timely payment and resolving any associated problems with employment documents. Incumbent will prepare and have up to date knowledge of additional hiring documents for all Letters of Appointment, hourly employees, and Visiting Lecturers if necessary. The Administrative Assistant 3 will provide primary administrative support to the Program Director to ensure the efficient and successful operation of the Couple and Family Therapy Program. Duties include, but are not limited to: assisting with enrollment and program admission tasks; preparing, tracking, and monitoring travel documents and claim reimbursements, payment vouchers, inter-departmental requisitions, independent service providers contracts, purchase requisitions, invoices, ordering supplies, and miscellaneous receptionist and clerical duties. In addition, the incumbent will be in charge of the department tracking document system. Work hours are 8:00 am - 12:00 pm Monday- Friday. QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant 2 in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. SALARY Grade 27 Step 1, salary $17,340.84 ($34,681.68 x 50%, part time position at 50% FTE). "Step" means the number assigned by the Division of Human Resource Management to identify a specific rate of pay within a grade. Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
