Job Summary

Candidate possesses and demonstrates advanced knowledge in the area of Homeowners Claims handling, Construction Practices, and Estimating, as well as in-depth knowledge, breadth and/or depth, in area of expertise. Candidate also has formal learning and training background and may act as team lead and/or coordinate activities of others and lead medium to large scale projects. Candidate exercises considerable judgment and latitude in obtaining results and resolves complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Essential Functions/Principal Responsibilities

* Conducts Claims Homeowners field training new hire training and onboarding

* Provides construction estimating and personal property assessment training

* Supports Claims Homeowners initiatives as needed

* Collaborates with CAT team on training needs and solutions

* Provides advanced training topics to Claims Home inside staff including construction and estimating skill and knowledge

* Consults with Training Manager, Operational Leader and Claims Process Manager to identify learning needs and solutions in order to address training and performance issues

* Independently facilitates instructor led technical, soft skill, and/or leadership training for employees, supervisors, managers, and executives via classroom and/or virtual instructor led formats to include physical room setup and technical audio/visual setup

* Collaborates with Instructional Design resources on the design and updates for technical and soft skill and leadership training

* Updates, shapes and develops curricula to meet specific business needs or performance gaps to include keeping current in areas of expertise

* Is the primary lead/owner for more than one curricula and responsible for ongoing content validation and maintenance

* Coaches and mentors junior instructors, learners, and Leaders as Teachers for performance or knowledge needed to perform the job through classroom observation

* Provides updates to learner's management regarding learner progress and performance

* Proactively engages with Claims Discipline leaders to maintain relationships and identify needs

* Owns project coordination and logistics to include project initiation, subject matter expert identification, review of deliverables and project report out

* Autonomously balances time between class prep, class delivery and project ownership and task work all of which occur concurrently

* Up to 50% travel

3-5 years instructor led training preferred

2-3 years of leadership and/or supervisory and management preferred

5 years in Claims Homeowners handling required

Proficiency in performance management and coaching skills/concepts

Education, Work Experience, Licenses, Certifications

Undergraduate degree preferred

Formal Training education and/or certification preferred (i.e., CPLP, HPI, Langevin etc.)

Claims and/or Insurance designations/certifications preferred (i.e., CPCU)
