Position Overview: 13;
The primary responsibility of the Assistant Manager : Security, Aquatic Safety is to assist the Manager : Security, Aquatic Safety in the management of aquatic safety for all Venetian and Palazzo Pool decks. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian The Palazzo Casino Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 13;
:Ensures that the cleanliness of the pool deck is maintained at all times.
:Ensures good safety practices of Team Members and guests on all pool decks, assisting in the maintenance of proper emergency and safety procedures.
:Assists the Manager in conducting safety training and ensuring that certification is on:going and current with state law.
:Assists in the hiring, training, and evaluation of team members to meet departmental standards and goals.
:Maintain high quality standards in regards to food and beverage presentation, sanitation and pool safety.
:Assists in managing approximately 40:45 full time and seasonal lifeguards and lead lifeguards.
:Oversees the assignment and evaluation of work, recommends personnel actions consistent with team member performance.
:Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
:Performs other related duties as assigned. 13;

Minimum Qualifications: 13;
:21 years of age.
:Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
:Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience
:2 years of progressively expansive experience in Aquatics within a hotel or similar environment.
:Familiarity with Southern Nevada Health District regulations and protocols.
:Possession of, or the ability to obtain, the following certifications, or equivalents, within six (6) months of hire:
:American Red Cross Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for the Professional Rescuer
:Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
:American Red Cross Oxygen Administration
:American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid
:American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Instructor
:American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor
:Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration, Nevada Drivers License, CPR Certification, Lifeguarding Certification, Alcohol Awareness Card (TAM), and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
:Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
:Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
:Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays. 13;

Must be able to:
:Lift or carry 50 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned.
:Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without a reasonable accommodation.

:Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
:Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
