The Network Manager is responsible for the implementation and operation of technology infrastructure deployed within the business, which includes data center, network services, service monitoring, and related software & Services. This position is operationally responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and security for all IT networking infrastructure within the data center and for the day to day management of the Network Engineering team. The position also requires that the individual as a strong working technical knowledge of Cisco networking, in addition, knowledge of Avaya Telecom systems, SIP and VoIP would be beneficial. Plans and oversees the work of assigned staff and contractors; supervises, evaluates and provides performance and project feedback; establishes performance requirements and personal development targets; regularly monitors staff performance and provides coaching for performance improvement and development; subject to management concurrence, recommends disciplinary action, up to and including termination, to address performance deficiencies, in accordance with personnel policies and provisions. Supervises and participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of plans, policies, systems and procedures to achieve long-range and annual goals, objectives and work standards. Provide flexible and scalable levels of service and technical assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Develop strong relationships with peers to ensure services and solutions meet their needs and establish measures, processes, service levels, and reporting procedures to ensure repeatable operations. Provide an environment of predictable services, managed data capacity and planning, proactive service and system troubleshooting, and rapid response. Development of enterprise standards and technology architecture and the IT operations governance process. Experience with comprehensive disaster recovery architecture and operations, including storage area network and redundant, highly-available server and network architectures. Manage the infrastructure and technology change control process ensuring that change is effectively transitioned to the production environment via the agreed Operations acceptance criteria. Leadership - effective planning and communication of business objectives to employees, ensuring staff understand the current environment and its boundaries as well as facilitating future changes. Other duties as assigned. A minimum of 5 - 7 years of progressive responsible experience in the design and installation of networking technologies with substantial knowledge of all facets of IT operations management, high availability networking, disaster recovery architectures, data networks, security and information protection. 5 years experience with computer operations in a fast transaction, high availability environment. 8 years of experience in network protocols, Firewalls and Communication Network design. In-depth Cisco technology knowledge in design, administration, implementation and support. In-depth knowledge of deploying and troubleshooting IP protocols. Experience on layer 3 routing and layer 2 switching. Dealing with escalating problems. Working knowledge of Microsoft Server and database technologies. Knowledge of Storage Area Network (SAN) and related technologies. Knowledge of Avaya-based Telecom communications technology, including TDM, VoIP, SIP, and SBC technologies would be beneficial Exposure and understanding of Service Management concepts and adoption. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, Visio, Access (relational database structures), and PowerPoint. Excellent experience in Network Planning, Implementing, Configuring, Troubleshooting and Testing of networking system. Proven IT leadership and staff development skills in a regulated industry. BS Degree and or equivalent work experience in a technical discipline. Comfortable managing highly-available complex infrastructure with 24/7 availability and support. Experience with regulatory compliance. Direct experience managing technical resources.
