Job Description:/h3:
The QC/QA Manager position develops and implements optimal, cost:effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards; recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls; coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products
Responsibilities:
* Be the point person and liaison for the company on all quality related communication.
* Hands on management of the final QA process. Creating process / procedures and training for 100 compliance to customers quality standards. Ensure all material is packaged, matching customer bill of materials.
* Develop and train staff in setting quality control standards and procedures.
* Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
* Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Oversee the quality testing and inspection procedures that are carried out by production workers including supervisors, engaged in testing activities.
* Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points.
* Pinpoint quality problems and collaborate with Supervisors and production workers to improve quality testing activities.
* Create and implement inspection and testing criteria or procedures. Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to sales, engineering and production management.
* Produce reports regarding non:conformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends.
* Review and update standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals. Coordinate the selection and implementation of quality control equipment such as inspection gauges.
* Stop production on the line and involve plant management if serious product defects are present.
Qualifications:
* BS in Engineering or a related technical field.
* At least 4 years of experience as a Quality Engineer, previous management experience is a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal and communications skills required as you will be working directly with distributors and customers along with company team members from the executive office to the production floor. Demonstrated success building Quality culture
* Kaizen experience a plus
* 10 Travel
