The Field Engineer reviews escalated Technical Support incidents and incidents where development cannot reproduce issues. The Field Engineer then works remotely or travels on:site to establish root:cause analysis and troubleshoots a wide variety of network, infrastructure, and software issues. The Field Engineer must be able to make recommendations to customers on issues that sit outside of HMH software platforms.
:Candidate must have 5+ years troubleshooting network issues. Other skills required include:
:experience with commercial WIFI applications and managed WIFI equipment and configurations.
:experience troubleshooting web applications to include using tools to trace and diagnose root:cause.
:Candidate should have excellent written and oral communication skills. This includes excellent diplomacy and interpersonal skills with interacting with customers face:to:face.
:Ability to write executive level reports for upper management to summarize on:site activities with customers.
:experience troubleshooting tablet devices across iOS, Android, Microsoft, and Google.
:self:directed in all training activities with HMH software and platforms.
:ablity to work effectively and efficiently from a home:based office.
:ablity to give product presentations for technical and non:technical audiences.
:ablity to travel up to 70 during the week but is cyclical and there is a travel season. Occasional travel on a weekend for a Monday on:site meeting.
Salesforce experience is a plus.
Experience in the education field is a plus.
* Might be in a stationary position for a considerable time (sitting and/or standing).
* The person in this position needs to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
* Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
* Must be able to collaborate with colleagues via face to face, conference calls, and online meetings.
This is a home:based position for the Western region of the United States. Applicant should live in California or a contiguous state to California.: national travel. Texas/west. West coast.
