Servers take orders, deliver food, and carry service trays while demonstrating exemplary guest service skills. The server also assists galley staff, bartenders, and deckhands to ensure smooth cruise and event operations. Cruise Lake Mead while you work and enjoy the benefits of being part of the Lake Mead Cruises team with Aramark. This is a part:time seasonal position, with regular cruises scheduled February through November and occasional special events through December and January. Essential Functions:Greet guestsAccurately record and transmit ordersMaintain a strong working knowledge of the our menus offerings be able to give full descriptions of food and beverage items and know full product details including allergy informationCarry service tray to deliver and serve food and beverages to tableWork with galley staff to coordinate and collect orders efficientlyPolish and set up dishes, glassware, and place settingsAssist in preparing for cruises and special events by setting up and breaking down chairs, tables, buffets, center pieces, plete all bussing duties when requiredMaintain daily side work ensuring any required checklists are completed in a timely mannerEnsure a clean and pleasant atmosphere in the boats dining areas at all timesMaintain positive attitude in high stress situationsGo the extra mile and follow through to ensure guest satisfactionMust be able to work with diverse populations in a supportive and positive mannerDiplomatically handle guest complaints always be polite and maintain a professional mannerMay be required to train other employees, educating them on menu items and other aspects of the roleMay be required to work special functionsKnow and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies and energyReport to work on time and in clean and complete uniformOther duties as assignedStatus and Scope:Reports to the Shift SupervisorThis position is subject to pre:employment, random, and post:accident/reasonable suspicion drug testing compliant with federal Coast Guard regulations. This includes screening for marijuana and other federally regulated substances.Strong customer service focus, strong communication skills, and a positive attitudeShould be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysMust have the ability to lift food traysMust have or be able to obtain a Southern Nevada Health District Food Handlers Safety Training CardMust have or be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness Training CardMust complete ServSafe Food Handler certification post:hireMust be fluent in the English language both spoken and written able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Aramark alcohol regulations, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manualsPreferred Qualifications:Previous restaurant and food service experience preferredEquipment Used:POS System, Hand Truck Travel Requirements:Little or No Travel ( Lifting Requirements: MEDIUM : Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
