The Duke 1977 & later Engines are the last and Best generation of the Lycoming Turbocharged direct Drive, TIO-541 engine.
Starting with 1977 & Later, The TIO-541 (E1C4) engines have many improvements over pre 1977 Duke Aircraft engines. 1977 & Later Dukes have the Large Turbo Charger's, Improved Cylinders, improved Cam's, improved Waist Gate's & Better internal oiling system just to mention a few things.
If the Beech Duke were in production today the basic cost would be well over two million dollars !
